Uganda begins massive vaccination against cervical cancer

The Ugandan government with the support by the MSD (Merck in the United States and Canada) has announced that it has launched of a national vaccination program against cervical cancer with GARDASIL [Human Papillomavirus Quadrivalent (Types 6, 11, 16 and 18) Vaccine, Recombinant] for eligible girls 9 to 13 years of age in 12 districts throughout the country.

Africa warned against strict laws against biotech research, development
